Non-Conveyable Baggage Items:
Bags / Backpacks / Sport bags that have loose straps or handles that cannot be removed, secured or stowed must be handled as non-conveyable and placed in a box prior to check in.
Baggage Items that display evidence of being damaged must be handled as non-conveyable and placed in a box prior to check in.
Baggage items that are presented as bundles secured by rope must be handled as non-conveyable and placed in a box prior to check in.
Golf bags must be treated as non-conveyable items and handled as Out Of Gauge (OOG) baggage.
Electrical goods such as television sets must be treated as non-conveyable items and handled as Super Out Of Gauge (SOOG) baggage
Baggage items that have been presented at check in that have been secured with rope.
Baggage items that are presented as bundles secured by rope must be handled as non-conveyable and placed in a box prior to check in.
Non-Conveyable Boxing Process:
Boxing of Non-Conveyable Baggage
Non-conveyable baggage items must not be accepted for injection into the BHS at the check in desk, to accommodate processing non-conveyable baggage, boxing of non-conveyable baggage services have been provided within the terminal check in area. Non-conveyable
items of baggage are to be placed and secured into boxes at the boxing / wrapping station prior to being checked in.
Boxing must be used for all of the following items:
- All baggage items that does conform to the dimensional and weight restrictions but is irregular in shape or does not have at least one flat surface.
- Sports Bags and backpacks that have long handles / straps that cannot be removed or stowed within the bag.
- Garment Bags, used to carry suits, dresses, etc.
- Child Car Seats – placed and secured in a box.
- Items in Plastic Bags – Place into a box.
