1) Maharaja Club – Air India’s frequent flyer programme
Let ‘that special feeling’ of Maharaja Club make you feel recognised and privileged at every step of your journey. With the all-new Maharaja Club, you can earn or redeem Maharaja Points on not just Air India but also on 24 other Star Alliance member airlines around the world. And, if you are a Gold or Platinum member of Maharaja Club, you also get Star Alliance Gold privileges when flying with any of the Star Alliance carriers anywhere in the world. This means your Maharaja Club status is recognised globally, and you receive Gold Status benefits such as excess baggage allowance, priority check-in and baggage handling, access to more than 1,000 lounges worldwide, and the use of Gold Track to breeze through security and immigration at select airports.
With the all-new Maharaja Club, an active member’s Maharaja Points never expire, and there are no blackout dates or restrictions in redeeming the points for award tickets. A new Cash+Points feature also allows members to partially pay for their Air India bookings with Maharaja Points.
2) Vista Verve: A premium onboard experience
In Air India’s pursuit to taking your onboard experience to newer heights, the airline recently introduced its soft product ‘Vista Verve’ with a new range of amenities, all designed to offer you a premium experience. The bespoke chinaware and tableware feature timeless designs inspired by India’s rich heritage that add a streak of luxury to your meal. To enhance your sleep experience on long-haul Air India flights, you will be cocooned in comfort with the airline’s new luxe bedding that includes premium duvets and mattress toppers. Vista Verve is being rolled out across the network and is currently available on all UK routes – London Heathrow, London Gatwick, Birmingham, and all US routes i.e New York, Newark, Chicago, San Francisco and Washington.
3) New and upgraded exclusive lounges
As an Air India passenger, you can enjoy a seamless and elevated experience through our network of Air India and Star Alliance lounges, designed to help you relax, refresh, and unwind during your journey. While flying out of the Bengaluru Airport, experience our newly opened exclusive lounge, which offers a variety of delicious food options, a tranquil ambiance, and attentive service. It’s the perfect retreat before your flight. The exclusive lounge at the domestic side of Delhi Airport, which recently underwent a refurbishment, now features elevated seating and a wide range of food and beverage options. Whether you’re catching up on work or simply unwinding, this lounge ensures a more comfortable and enjoyable time at the airport. As part of the airline’s customer experience transformation, it is working towards elevating the lounge experience by expanding its exclusive lounge network across major Indian metros and key international markets such as North America and the UK. Each lounge is being uniquely designed to offer state-of-the-art amenities and an exceptional selection of food and beverages, further enhancing the overall passenger experience. Lounge services are available to guests flying First or Business Class, as well as eligible members of Air India’s frequent flyer program, The Maharaja Club.
4) Smart tech for a smarter journey
Air India is setting new benchmarks in passenger convenience with its tech-forward innovations. The airline's redesigned award-winning mobile app and website offer seamless navigation and a user-friendly experience. Besides this, the airline’s tech upgrades also include real-time flight and baggage tracking and keeping flyers updated every step of the way. The launch of 'AI.g,' a virtual travel assistant ensures instant support for your queries and helps you with personalised itineraries, downloading boarding passes and more in a multi-lingual format.
Air India recently launched an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven feature, eZ Booking, that enables you to complete your reservation on the Air India website by just communicating your detailed itinerary to the AI Agent. eZ Booking is currently available exclusively for members of Maharaja Club.
5) An elevated culinary journey
To make your onboard dining experience truly exceptional, Air India has introduced a refreshed in-flight menu. Featuring a blend of gourmet Indian and international flavours, this scrumptious menu is designed to delight your taste buds at 35,000 feet. Showcasing India’s rich culinary heritage, the dishes are prepared with locally sourced ingredients to cater to your preferences and dietary needs. You get to select from various special meal options, crafted in collaboration with multiple domestic and international food and beverage partners. The menu also offers thematic dishes for celebratory occasions, adding a special touch to your Air India flight.
