Schiphol Amsterdam Airport (AMS)

Amsterdam Airport lies at the bottom of what was once Haarlemmer Lake. The lake was drained in 1852 and the first aircraft landed at Schiphol in 1916, making it not only one of the world's most low-lying airports but also the oldest to occupy the same location.

Free Wi-Fi is available everywhere at the airport. You simply need to log in to the Schiphol Airport network with your laptop or smart device.

The entire terminal is non-smoking. The only place where smoking is permitted is on Jan Dellaertplein, the square outside Schiphol Plaza just before security check-in.
