You must complete the immigrations and customs checks in the first city of arrival, i.e., Melbourne.
Please conduct these checks before you take your onward domestic flight.

You will be issued boarding cards for your entire trip at the departure city, I.e., in Japan.
You will be directly transferred to the transit area for the next segment of your flight without having to leave the layover airport. There are signages available at the airport for you to follow. Moreover, our ground staff will be available to guide you at every step.
Baggage transfer
Your bags will be tagged up to the destination city. You will not have to collect your bag at the layover city, i.e., Mumbai.
You can collect your bag from the designated carousel in the destination city, i.e. San Francisco.
Different e-tickets for each segment

A different boarding pass will be issued for each segment of your journey.
a. Boarding passes for the first leg of your journey will be issued in Japan.
b. On arrival at Mumbai, you must collect the boarding pass for the next leg of your journey.You will not be allowed to head to the transit area directly.
