  • Original passport valid for at least 6 months with minimum 2 blank pages. The passport must be issued less than 10 years ago.  
  • Online application and family information form.
  • Two passport size photos with white background and 80% face visible. 
  • Original covering letter on company letterhead signed and stamped with purpose of travel, designation, passport details and date of travel.  
  • Invitation letter from invitee company with purpose of travel, designation, passport details and date of travel.  
  • Financial documents:  
    • Last 3 months' salary slips. 
    • Income Tax Acknowledgement for last 3 years. 
    • Last 6 months bank statements with stamp and signature on it. 
  • Travel insurance.  
  • Confirmed hotel voucher and return flight tickets. 

 

Canada Tourist Visa

  • Original passport valid for at least 6 months with minimum 2 blank pages. The passport must be issued less than 10 years ago.  
  • Online application and family information form.
  • Two passport size photos with white background and 80% face visible. 
  • Original covering letter signed by applicant with purpose of travel, designation, passport details and date of travel.  
  • Financial documents:  
    • Last 3 months' salary slips. 
    • Income Tax Acknowledgement for last three years. 
    • Last 6 months bank statements with stamp and signature on it. 
  • Travel insurance.  
  • Confirmed hotel voucher and return flight tickets. 
  • In case of self-employed - Certificate of Incorporation.  
  • For sponsor: Proof of sponsorship and a letter from the sponsor, financial documents as well as copy of the sponsor’s photo ID, (e.g. passport, Aadhaar card or driver’s license) 
  • Retired citizens - Pension statements for last 3 months or proof of regular income generated by ownership of property or business. 
  • Minor Applicants:   
    • NOC from School/university  
    • Copy of birth certificate  
    • Sponsorship letter and expenses, Parent’s marriage certificate  
    • Parental authorisation (if minor is travelling alone) 

Points to note: 

  • Initial documents will have to be submitted online. 
  • Canada Embassy will send an email to the traveller for biometric scanning, post which the application will be analysed by the embassy and the outcome of the application will be sent to the registered email ID. 
  • When the visa is approved, the applicant will then have to submit the passport to VFS within 30 days of the receipt of email. 
  • Applications are liable to be rejected if the uploaded documents and photographs are not clear or as per the given specifications.  
  • Any applicant may be asked to provide additional documents as per the embassy’s discretion.  

Visa-on-arrival in Canada

Canada does not offer a visa-on-arrival for Indian citizens. Indian nationals must obtain a visa before travelling to Canada. The visa application must be completed and approved prior to departure.
