Self-check-in kiosks and self-baggage drop

  • Self-service facilities for check-in and baggage drop are available at Row N in front of gates 7 and 8 in Terminal 3.
  • You can use these facilities to:
    • Select your seats on the flight
    • Update your Maharaja Club number in the booking
    • Update your contact details (mobile number, email address, etc)
    • Print your boarding pass
    • Drop your baggage at the self-baggage drop counters after check-in
    • Print your baggage tags
  • These facilities are available for:
    • All passengers on domestic flights, excluding those in transit
    • All passengers flying to Melbourne (MEL) and Sydney (SYD)

Check-in window

  • For International flights departing Delhi airport, the check-in counter will remain open up to 75 minutes before the flight's scheduled departure. 
  • For all other flights the check-in counter will be open for an hour prior to the flight's scheduled departure.

To avoid any last minute rush, we request you to plan your travel with ample time to reach the airport and complete all airport formalities before you board the flight.

Taxi pick-up area

  • The pick-up area is located outside the baggage belt area at the arrival gate of the terminal.
  • The pick-up location depends on the terminal you arrive at and the taxi or cab service you choose.
  • To locate the correct pick-up zone, simply follow the signs posted around the airport.

Inter-terminal connectivity

  • Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 are approximately 8 km away.
  • The terminals are connected by:
    • Airport shuttle: It is a complimentary shuttle service and shuttles between terminals every 20 minutes. 
    • Airport metro: the airport is served by two metro lines, namely the Magenta Line and Orange Line. the metro runs every 15 minutes. There are three metro stations at Delhi Airport, which are Terminal 1 (Airport Metro Station), Aerocity Metro Station, and Terminal 3 (Metro Station).
    • Cabs and taxis: you can prebook a taxi from the various services available at the terminals.

The Delhi Airport provides a free Wi-Fi facility to passengers across all terminals.

Follow the steps mentioned below to access Wi-Fi:

  • Switch on Wi-Fi and select ‘GMR Free Wi-Fi' on your device.
  • Enter your mobile number and OTP.
  • Use the OTP and set your 4 digits numeric pin to access high-speed free internet.

The Delhi Airport is a smoke-free zone. But smoking is permitted in designated areas.

Terminal 1: post the security hold area in the food court

Terminal 2: near the security hold area.

Terminal 3: at international and domestic arrival hall, boarding corridor, and food court.

You can meet, greet, or send off your family members, colleagues, or loved ones by visiting the meet and greet area available at the arrival section of Terminal 3. Please note:

  • The charge for a visitor entry ticket is INR 100 per person.
  • The entry ticket is valid for three hours from the time of issue
  • The visitor must carry an original copy of a valid ID proof. 
  • Entry is free for children under three years.
