Situated on the northern outskirts of the city of Lod, Tel Aviv Airport is the main international airport of Israel. It is located 45 kilometres to the northwest of Jerusalem.

The distance between Ben Gurion International Airport and Tel Aviv’s city centre is approximately 20 km. 

Taxi pick-up area

  • Prepaid taxi booths are in both terminals 1 and 3. 
  • In terminal 1, they are near gate 3.
  • In terminal 3, they are on the second level near the exit of gate 21 and the ground floor near gate 3 exit.  
  • Sign boards can help direct the passengers to the drop-off and pick-up zones at the corresponding terminals.

Car rental pick-up area

  • The airport has several car rental stands available for passengers to choose from. They are located at the arrival gate of the airport.

Train Station

  • The Ben Gurion International Airport train station is situated on Level S of Terminal 3. 
  • It is an efficient mode of transportation for passengers travelling to Tel Aviv, Haifa, and other northbound destinations, southeast to Modi'in, or southbound to Be'er Sheba via Lod, Kiryat Gat, and Lehavim.

  • There are no hotels inside the airport for transit passengers, but there are several hotels nearby. The closest one is approximately 2 km away.

Enjoy free Wi-Fi in both the public and transit areas of the airport. Simply follow the steps below to start surfing:

Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the terminals.

A medical clinic is next to the entrance through gate 21, in the West Gallery of the Greeters Hall. It is operational 24/7. 

Another clinic is located in the Departure Hall, near the nursing room, in the duty-free area.
